One of my aspiratrions is to own a Canon 30D. I shoot with a Rebel XT and it has done a good job for me durign the past two years but, I crave a 30D. Will it make me a better photgrapher? No. Studying with an experienced professional will do that. But the 30D to me is like owning a Hummer H2. Will I get through more mud holes or snow storms than I do now? No, I don;t drive through mud holes or snow covered roads on a regular basis. Do you really need it? No, but you do crave it.
I've started my process of saving up for ther 30D by eBaying my Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG glass and my Sigma 2x teleconverter. I sold and shipped both pieces this week, and am $891.00 closer to owning my new camera.

Why did I sell such a good piece of glass? It's probably hard to believe but I don't shoot with this lens as often as I thought. My 24-70 F2.8 is my lens of choice when doing portrait and nude photography. It's fast and clear with great bokah! The 70-200 has great bokah as well but it's heavy and awkward.
Besides all of those reasons; If I ever want to shoot with it again, I can always eBay one!
